The one and only sandwich specialty store in Kuantan, is Frankie Sandwich Cafe, at Star City next to SABS.We picked the place to fill our hunger at dusk before beginning the torturous moment of waiting for dinner. By luck, it was opened. Seems to have odd opening hours as seen here.
The sandwich set we ordered was a tripledecker, forgive me as I let slipped the name from my memory. :P
I love: they cut the sandwich in quarters... Though it's still thick.
What I do recall is the succulent, honey soaked sweet ham slices wedged between the breads. He seemed to adore the bread a lot which was not the wholemeal type.
Another hassle is, if you had multiple ulcers, prepare to suffer the brief moment of pain before submitting the sandwich between your jaws.

The sandwich set came with a bowl of mushroom soup and a drink. In that case I chose a pot of mint flavoured tea.
