Psalm 52:1-7 (NKJV)
Why do you boast in evil, O mighty man?
The goodness of God endures continually.
Your tongue devises destruction,
Like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
You love evil more than good,
Lying rather than speaking righteousness. Selah
You love all devouring words,
You deceitful tongue.
God shall likewise destroy you forever;
He shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place,
And uproot you from the land of the living. Selah
The righteous also shall see and fear,
And shall laugh at him, saying,
“Here is the man who did not make God his strength,
But trusted in the abundance of his riches,
And strengthened himself in his wickedness.”
I am at sea if posting this on a blog with higher publicity will do me worse but I believe my readers are rational enough to accept sound arguments. Being a Christian, one of the ways to justify a choice to be made is to pray; second is to see if your way is in accordance to the bible's teachings.
I have seen differing thoughts about tonight's assembly at Stadium Kelana Jaya, whether it's appropriate to attend or not to, mostly among non-believers and Christians. There's no right or wrong in either option so it really depends on you. Some are concerned of the public's safety, some thinks that it's a useless protest, some remains that there are other ways to better the electoral system.
As for my case, if only my final paper wasn't timed tomorrow I'd be there with my mom.
My stand is if you are one who anticipates changes to take place I sincerely wish you could go. Yes, it is true that the bible also said that we should submit to our leaders since our Prime Minister has taken an oath before the King to continue serving to the nation as Malaysia's PM, and now a new government will be formed.
But then again, it is our responsibility to help candidates in their right to call for a fresh election for the next 21 days following the election on 5 May if there were obvious evidence of any of the following:
i) bribery, intimidation or any misconduct that affects the result of the elections;
ii) violation of election laws and regulations;
iii) corrupt or illegal practice committed by the candidates or their agents;
iv) the candidates or their agents are found to be disqualified from contesting.

Various incidents took place before, during and after the election, I'm sure all Malaysians regardless of their party preferences knew of such claims. My point is, it is terrible how the mainstream media are toying the public with racial issues after the electoral results and be in favour of certain parties (but not dismissing the fact that the freedom of media is indeed controlled by the government) by declaring all the claims are thoroughly incorrect.

Whereas in foreign countries, news report otherwise.

Headline says "Ruling party despicably retains governance, foreign labours to contribute votes in Malaysia, (opposition leader) Anwar accuses (government) of fraudulent practices (and) the opposition has won".
Why I am for the assembly is because screams on the Internet are close to silent, if they are not misleading. How far can informal proposals on the net lead us into our goals? So many physical protests have been done in the past few years (from peace assemblies, e.g. Green Assembly and Green Walk, to street protests, e.g. Bersih rallies) where occurrences of violence and disturbances in racial harmony have been widely exaggerated by the government or governing leaders, and police force were to make use of tear gas to scatter the public and several nearby train stations were shut down to stop people from entering or exiting the area. Those who were involved in the Bersih 3.0 rally were trapped within the city center because they could not go out!
My stand is not to bow down to the results if we believe that frauds did take place, even the law cites that a fresh election can be done.
Proverbs 24:24 (NIV)
Whoever says to the guilty, “you are innocent,” will be cursed by peoples and denounced by nations.
I am definitely not saying that those who aren't attending the assembly are not for justice and shall be condemned. I respect that everyone has their own point of view and opinions on how things could be done for a better nation.
Proverbs 29:1-2, 13 (NKJV)
He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
We have groaned enough and given away too many chances but our voices still cannot be heard or taken into consideration! But we still have the power to stop these to take place for the next 5 years at least. What makes my spirit today is that there is completely no hope for Lynas to shut down and the corporation is granted a 12-year tax exemption! If tonight's assembly cannot reach its purpose for the government to hear the rakyat's objections then we will continue our fight even if we have to endure until the next general election.
I know that the Lord is with us and vengeance belongs to Him, and we as His children are responsible for shining the light of truth.
